Hi Graham, when you steralised the demi johns what did you use? 20 pints , Interesting to see the rant coming on in about 4 weeks . He He . Actually why rate it on the rant factor.

A shop bought cleaner sterilizer or sodium metabisulphite

Much prefer a still scrumpy to a fizzy cider. Had some of the stuff in a Cornish pub one lunchtime about 49 years ago and I came out of there feeling like I’d been pole-axed Graham. Brilliant stuff eh. I might just happen to be passing through Denbigh in a few weeks time….hehehe. hope it does good for you. Great to drink with the tablets eh! :>))

Looking good, I am going to give this a try soon, enjoy a few pints at night, is there a local brew shop for equipment?
